Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These terms govern your use of destinationnica.com and the services provided by Destination Nica ("we," "us," "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
What we do
Destination Nica is a relocation concierge serving expats moving to or living in Nicaragua. We provide:
- Shipping: package shipping to Nicaragua, pickup at our Managua, Tola, and San Juan del Sur locations, operated by Fast Pack Shipping, a partner company
- Property: introductions to vetted real estate brokers and rental inventory — we are not a brokerage and do not hold listings
- Legal & residency: coordination with vetted immigration lawyers for visa and residency applications
- Insurance: referral to CORE Insurance Management, an independent licensed broker — we are not an insurance broker
- Transport: introductions to vetted local drivers, rental partners, and vehicle providers
- Dental tourism: clinic vetting, trip planning, and coordination for dental procedures in Nicaragua
- Weddings: destination wedding planning and vendor coordination
- Tours & fishing: experience booking through vetted local guides and our charter boat (Wet Sand Nicaragua)
Our role
For most services, we act as a coordinator and referrer — we connect you with vetted local partners (lawyers, brokers, clinics, drivers, guides) and stay involved to ensure quality. We are not a licensed broker, law firm, medical provider, or travel agency. The professionals we refer you to are independent parties with their own licensing, insurance, and terms.
For shipping, Fast Pack Shipping is a partner company that handles the logistics. We coordinate on your behalf.
Pricing and payments
Where applicable, we provide quotes in writing before you commit. Our pricing model is quote-based — we do not list prices that auto-charge or require online payment.
We do not process online payments. All payments for shipping services are collected in person at pickup. Coordination fees for other services are discussed and agreed in writing via WhatsApp or email before work begins.
Third-party service providers (lawyers, clinics, rental companies, etc.) have their own pricing and payment terms. We disclose any coordination fees separately from partner charges.
No guarantees on third-party outcomes
While we vet our partners carefully, we cannot guarantee the outcome of services provided by third parties. This includes but is not limited to:
- Visa or residency application outcomes (these are government decisions)
- Property availability, condition, or transaction outcomes
- Insurance claim outcomes
- Dental procedure results
- Shipping transit times (subject to customs, carrier delays, and weather)
We will advocate on your behalf and coordinate problem resolution, but final outcomes with third-party providers and government agencies are outside our control.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when requesting services
- Comply with Nicaraguan law and the laws of your home country
- Do not ship prohibited items (weapons, drugs, hazardous materials, items prohibited by Nicaraguan customs)
- Maintain valid travel documents and visas as required
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Destination Nica's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us directly for the specific service in question. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party service providers, government agencies, customs authorities, carriers, or events outside our reasonable control.
Website content
The information on our website is provided for general informational purposes. While we strive to keep it current, pricing, procedures, legal requirements, and partner availability can change. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, medical, or immigration advice. For specific situations, speak with the appropriate professional — which we can help you find.
Intellectual property
All content on destinationnica.com — text, illustrations, design, and code — is owned by Destination Nica unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nicaragua. For US-based customers, disputes may also be subject to applicable US federal or state jurisdiction depending on the nature of the claim. We prefer to resolve disputes informally via direct communication before pursuing formal proceedings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
